Calling all beautiful people.

Hey there tumblr girls and guys, 

Im sarah and I’m thirteen, turning fourteen in mid 2012. I love all the seasons of the year but my favourite’s definitely summer. I’m from queensland, australia and I’ve lived here all my life but i do a lot of travelling overseas, and i have been to almost all the continents of the world.

I’m really tall, and sometimes its ok but i usually hate it, especially when most people who don’t know you just refer to you as ‘the tall blonde chick in year 8’. I love to write and sing, and I believe that every person in this entire world is beautiful in their own way. I have three older brothers who sometimes can bring me down but i will always love them.

Im just as self conscious about my body as any teenage girl is, especially when i live in a place where its practically all-year-round bikini season. I know I’m not extremely pretty and smart and skinny and nice all the time, but i do have confidence. Im not one of those girls who smile through the pain, though. When i have feelings, i show them. There’s no point living your life through a screen of insecurity. It helps when people are there to ask whats wrong, and when you can tell them everything, and they’ll always understand. thats what friends are for.

I love rowing, its my favourite sport and even though i started just last year, its changed my life. Its so much more than just paddling your boat down the river. its the people you meet, the early hours you wake up at, the muscles you grow, the thrills you get, the conversations you have and the friendships that form. I also play netball, which is amazing, but its not as deep.

I have a lot of close friends who i can always depend on. Emily, Cali, Julia, Emma, Lia, Elijah, Tara, Soph, Chloe and heaps more. They’re all amazing, and I’m so happy that they are there for me when i need them.

I hate it when people think that they can just use you. Because they can’t. Ive been used a lot recently, and from now on, I’m not going to let it happen. We are all equal and amazing in our own ways, and no one has the right to lead you on into thinking you have something  happening with them, and then suddenly leave and pretend you never existed. Sometimes they take it to the next level and say bitchy stuff behind your back. Not cool. If anyone does that to someone i care about, then they’re in for it.

When i go to uni, I’m going to study medicine and hopefully one day become a oncologist. I really don’t care if I’m not extremely popular or noticed during high school, but one day i want to make a difference. It upsets me so much to hear about people with untreatable diseases and cancers, so one day I want to be a part of the race to save those millions of people out there from having to go through such horribly tragic times. Out of my whole family back from when the hamilton-fairley’s established, about 90% of them were doctors and they helped change the world. My amazing ancestors give me the ability to believe i can achieve what they have. I want to grow up and continue what they’ve started.

I’m a caring person and i hate conflict, between anyone. Most of all, i don’t judge anyone, ever, and i would never do things to hurt someone on purpose. Theres been a lot of disappointments in my life but I believe there’s always the perfect guy for every girl, it just takes time to find them.
